Chamika Jayasinghe
Mr. Chamika Jayasinghe is the Director/General secretary Specializing in Youth programmes,, Child rights and Gender Based violence as well as civil society development, his main area of interest being issues related to Alcohol , Tobacco and drug use. He has twenty two years of experience in working with urban and semi urban fisheries communities and plantation and rural communities in the broader development context of the International Organization, FORUT.
Mr. Jayasinghe has a degree in Community Mobilization and Social Development at the Asian Rural Institute, Japan, and studied Participatory Rural Appraisal at the Institute for Participatory Practices, India. He also studies Treatment for Alcoholism and Camp methodology, at the TTK Ranganathan Clinical Research foundation, India. He participatory Workshop for enhancing capacity for middle level management at Sri Lanka Foundation of Non Governmental organizations of drug Abuse and Small Business as well as Strategic action planning from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology.
Mahendra Jayasinghe
Mr. Mahendra Jayasinghe the Director / Programme Manager has 20 years of experience working at grass root level and understanding and mobilizing community dynamics, towards reducing the demand for Alcohol, Tobacco and Drug prevention especially among communities across the island.
He is involved in campaigns on drug development reduction from grass root to national level, and has many years of experience worked at government organization and international non government organization on planning implementation and monitoring levels. Mr. Jayasinghe has a Masters Degree in Sociology at University of Kelaniya and a Post graduate diploma in Social Work from the National institute of Social Development. He has represented Sri Lanka for workshop, trainings and seminars on drug demand reduction, narcotics controls and community mobilization in SAARC Region as well as Japan.
