Mr. Chamika Jayasinghe is the Director/ Programme Manager, Specializing in Youth programmes,, Child rights and Gender Based violence as well as civil society development, his main area of interest being issues related to Alcohol , Tobacco and drug use. He has twenty two years of experience in working with urban and semi urban fisheries communities and plantation and rural communities in the broader development context of the International Organization, FORUT.
Mr. Jayasinghe has a degree in Community Mobilization and Social Development at the Asian Rural Institute, Japan, and studied Participatory Rural Appraisal at the Institute for Participatory Practices, India. He also studies Treatment for Alcoholism and Camp methodology, at the TTK Ranganathan Clinical Research foundation, India. He participatory Workshop for enhancing capacity for middle level management at Sri Lanka Foundation of Non Governmental organizations of drug Abuse and Small Business as well as Strategic action planning from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology.
